Description

With so much dissent and negativity in the world, it is often hard to find opportunities that pull people together and truly make a difference in the lives of many. But those opportunities do exist, and this is one.

We harness the power of sport to foster genuine cross-cultural engagement between otherwise distant communities.

Sport is unique as it can’t be done in the back rooms in isolation. Instead, it is an equalizer where we can lose our differences while celebrating our commonalities.

We are focusing on Africa right now, and have worked with many to build bridges, open minds, and create opportunities. Our vehicle for change – ice hockey, a sport most don’t think of in Africa.

But not only does it exist there, it is growing and delivering all the benefits that sport provides. Ice hockey in Africa is free from many of the rivalries and stereotypes that other traditional sports in Africa may bring to the playing surface, making it the perfect vehicle for change!

And now, you can be a part of something very special! In Cape Town, South Africa this August, the South African Ice Hockey Federation will host the Kenya Ice Lions, Team Africa, and Team Friendship League in a tournament aimed at building awareness, understanding, friendships, and skills – all of which can be taken back by those who participate to further develop programs in their home communities.

You can sponsor a player’s journey to play in this very special event in Cape Town for $1,500, and in doing so, help build hockey in Africa.
